In November 2025, Asletts were appointed to carry out a comprehensive internal refurbishment and structural remodel of The Grange. This three-month project was a collaborative effort, working alongside the acclaimed interior designer Charlotte Dean (BIID) to transform the property’s layout and aesthetic.
The project was less about a simple cosmetic update and more about rethinking how the internal spaces functioned, requiring a mix of heavy structural work and high-end decorative finishing.
Client: Private Residential Project
Project Duration: Three months
Completion Date: February 2026
East Sussex
The Grange required a modernised flow that the original layout couldn’t provide. The challenge for our team was to execute significant structural alterations to create the open, light-filled spaces required by the design brief. Working over the winter months meant project management had to be tight to keep the interior protected while structural changes were underway, ensuring the site remained efficient and on schedule.
Asletts acted as the primary contractor, bridging the gap between the structural requirements and the designer’s vision.
By February 2026, The Grange was successfully handed back to the client. The structural alterations completely changed the character of the home, creating a more cohesive and sophisticated living space. The finished result is a testament to what can be achieved when a skilled build team and a professional designer work in sync.
This project demonstrates Asletts’ ability to manage long-term, complex residential refurbishments. By handling both the structural “heavy lifting” and the refined internal finishes, we provide a reliable, single point of contact for high-end design projects across the South East.
