Asletts Ltd was commissioned to undertake an extensive external refurbishment of the Harvester restaurant located in the prestigious Brighton Marina. This high-profile commercial project required a combination of aesthetic restoration and structural timber preservation, all while operating in a high-traffic public environment.
To ensure the restaurant could remain operational and to minimise the footprint of our works, we utilised MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) instead of traditional scaffolding. This allowed for a more agile, efficient, and cost-effective delivery for the client.
Client: Harvester Restaurant, Brighton Marina
Project Duration: Two Months
Completion Date: December 2025
Brighton, East Sussex
Working at a busy marina presents significant logistical hurdles. The building’s height required specialist access, while the coastal location meant the exterior was subject to significant weathering and timber decay.
Furthermore, maintaining the safety of the general public and restaurant patrons was paramount. We had to coordinate closely with management agents to ensure our presence did not disrupt the day-to-day operations of the marina or the hospitality business.
Over a two-month period, our team delivered a comprehensive maintenance program:
Completed in December 2025, the refurbishment has transformed the building’s appearance while providing a durable shield against the elements. The project was delivered on time and without a single safety incident, proving Asletts’ ability to manage large-scale commercial contracts with professional rigor.
The Harvester Brighton Marina project exemplifies Asletts’ expertise in commercial building maintenance. Our ability to combine specialist repair techniques like Repair Care with advanced access solutions makes us the ideal partner for hospitality and retail businesses across the South East.
